January’s Janus is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces. These two faces gives him the ability to see into the future as well into the past.
Janus and Sex

The second way to use Janus is to create or go over your limit’s lists. Just a reminder, limits are not just for BDSM! Limits can be for any type of intimacy, sexual and non-sexual. Also, BOTH partners have preferences and limits, so… your male or husbands DO HAVE LIMITS.
A general limit’s list will help couples to set their limits and boundaries. These limits refer to topics, experiences, and activities that partners in a play scene feel strongly about in a positive or negative ways. Also, the list will show someones likelihood of participating in certain activities. The list can point to prohibited activities or activities that both partner WANT to experience. This leads to partners negotiating an outline of what activities will and will not take place within their play/scenes, in terms of interest, as well as physical and emotional tolerances.
Within your lists you can have soft limits, which are things that you can be in certain situations want to participate in, you may need a little push but you would still count as a positive experience. You can have hard limits, where this is a boundary that can NOT be crossed. Now, these limits change as you get more experiences under your belt……. Annual review of limits are good but you can always do them anytime. I always include desired limits or GREEN LIMITS, meaning things I really want to experience in the near future.
