• Broaching the Topic

    Hello all.
I’m sure this has probably been asked before but I appreciate any advice and grace you can lend me. Almost a year ago I had a brief discussion with my husband about my desire to enter a D/S lifestyle. I provided him with info and articles to lookup and he said he would think about it.
After the birth of my son we kind of never came back to the conversation. Now that I’m feeling good postpartum (and my sex drive is back in full swing) I’m very curious as to what the best way to approach the topic again would be?

    Thanks!

    Hi LittleMoody!

You are off to a good start finding this blog for research and support 🙂 Here are a couple of good “getting started” blog posts to kick off your reading and research. You’ll find that while many of the ladies here have been in the lifestyle for years, there are also a great many of us who are near the beginning of our journey as well as those like you who are working on the first steps.

More directly answering your question though, what I did after researching and chatting here for a while was start to work on myself and how I interacted with him. I was very conscious about changing behaviours and reactions of mine that in the past were less respectful (and were frequent flash points for arguments between us), had more actual conversations to increase communication, and worked on taking care of things around the house so he could be more relaxed when home. Then I brought up to him how I had found this site, and some of the changes I had made, and why (interest in growing our relationship in a more D/s direction…). He was all for it.

Good luck, and I hope to get to chat soon!
