I’m so proud of my Sir. He is really taking our dynamic seriously and working hard to learn as much as possible about the D/s lifestyle and how to be a better Dominant. I just don’t know how to make him understand that I am not made of glass and He won’t break me!!!!! Sir is an all around good guy, and ever the gentleman, but sometimes I don’t want to be treated like a lady! We recently tried a “Slutty Wife” scene and he was so out of his element. I want him to be able to walk on the dark side with me, sometimes. I know the difference between fantasy and reality and I know how much he loves and adores me. So, in my mind there should be no problem. He has gotten much better since I started journaling my fantasies, but he still is VERY cautious. Am I just being impatient?

I had the same experience, I asked my Sir to call me his slut during a scene, but it was not pre-negotiated and he did not do it. We have talked since and he said that I am not ready yet. I kind of agree with him. He does not want it to back fire on us and me so he will decide when it will happen. I also think that he is not ready to call me slut either in a scene. Perhaps it is because he is trying to build his own confidence to the level it takes to call me a slut in the context of beauty. So patience is needed for both of us to achieve this level of trust and love.

Morning Glory, I really love how you phrased that “call me a slut in the context of beauty.” That is so, so true! My Sir likes dirty talk and has embraced it while I have been on the fence with it because I was raised “not to be a slut.” To see it as an expression of endearment or beauty has been tough for me, but because I know how much I’m loved and cherished I know it’s not an insulting name in the context of a scene or play.

Great topic Juliet Rose! Thanks for sharing – it’s been insightful from one on the other side of the proverbial glass 😉
