• Our Journey to Here

Ok Ladies, here it goes. I am 28 yrs old, and have been married to BearCat on HusDOM for 5 yrs and D/s-m for about 2 months. We have no kids but have dealt with infertility for 2 1/2 yrs. This lead to frustration and anger on both sides. We were at a loss and thought it was the end of the road for us. Sir made the decision to find a counselor, we have been seeing our therapist for going on 6 months. It has completely changed our marriage in the best way possible. We have learned to communicate and express our needs in healthy way. One of the first things I decided to do when we started counseling was to submit to Sir. This change in me made a huge impact, we were falling in love again(deeper than ever before). As we grew together we wanted more, which has lead us to here. This dynamic is truly a blessing to us. I have started journaling and have also put rituals in place before bed and hope to have our first downtime tonight. Implementing these few things along with the techniques already use has opened all lines of our communication and is a great feeling.
Things will be interesting over the next few months as we are living with my parents. I have received so much amazing feedback and support form everyone here. Sir and I are excited to learn more and grow together.

Did you approach counseling through a state of submission? Was your counselor aware? How interesting!

HoneyDew. I did not approach counseling with a submissive mindset. It was actually something that we talked about in a session and it hit me. I have always wanted Sir to be in charge but I was not allowing him to because I was not submitting to him. Our counselor knows that I have changed my mindset but not to this extent.
