New to lifestyle, soaking it all in!
I joined recently but forgot to introduce myself. I’m a mother of 4, (2 grown) living somewhere in Idaho. We were each married before and learned what love was NOT, and have been exploring what Love IS and have been happily married to each other for almost 14 years. I’ve been very bossy, yet submissive at the same time. I always deferred to my husDOM on finances, when in public I’d look to him first before interacting with people (mostly men) and didn’t automatically look people in the eyes when speaking to them in what I assumed was just an after effect of being in a bad marriage prior to our happy one. We recently formally adopted a M/Ds 24/7 lifestyle and it feels amazing. I have been able to be more clear with my husband where in the past I would just say, “I want you to be the man and take charge” and then I would proceed to tell him how he was doing everything wrong (right down to driving, doing any household task, or tearing our kids). I didn’t see that I was doing it, but exploring this lifestyle has opened my eyes to how combative my demeanor was and how it really made it hard for my husband to do what I was asking for with my words, but not showing with my actions. We are VERY new, but are jumping in with both feet and are currently working on a contract so that I will have something more concrete to help keep me from unintentionally undermining my husband. I’ve read as many of your posts as I could in this short time and am learning so much!
