Impact vs. Pain
Hi all 🙂 could somebody explain to me the difference between impact play and pain play? Thank you!

Probably everyone has their own definition but I will give it a go.
Impact play: Spankings, flogger, paddle etc. For me this is not about the pain but the rhythm of the impact. I’m not a big fan of pain for pain’s sake.
Pain play: could be anything that causes pain and is enjoyed for pain’s sake.
Not sure if this helps at all.

I think it’s a situation where impact play is a TYPE of pain play. And there are a lot of different variants of pain play.
I do agree with Pearl that you can be into a specific kind of pain play, like impact, but not pain play overall. Like, I enjoy the pain of spanking, but I dont want my hair pulled to the point of pain (only control tugs). So I wouldn’t really consider myself into pain play.
