• Handling big changes

First time posting so I hope this gives enough explanation….
My lovely D and I only entered into a D/s 24/7 about 2 weeks ago and now I have suddenly gotten a full time job in sales. (I previously worked 2 nights a week). It was so fulfilling to be able to spend all day actively being submissive and doing things in that regard – now I am so nervous to suddenly have to uphaul it and change it when it has been so perfect. I feel like it will be so difficult to go out and be extra assertive all day (already not really apart of my personality) when I am so happy in my new role at home.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance 🙂

Morning Glory described it perfectly, so I’ll just reiterate that I remind myself during my work time that I am Sir’s beloved Kitten, and He treasures my strength, intelligence, integrity and abilities… as well as my submission to Him. He is so proud to have this type A woman present herself at His feet. I have a very hard time seeing myself as He sees me, but I try very hard to be the woman I know He deserves.

I teach, so I know a little of what you’re going through with the lifestyle change from home to workplace. I always have a bit of an adjustment when I go back to work and don’t feel quite myself after being able to indulge in beautiful submission all day. Sir is understanding, and He’s helped me find tools to keep centered. Whether it’s a piece of jewelry, article of clothing, task, or lunch time contact, He’s helped me come up with subtle ways to remind myself that I am His. I can be in full Type A mode at work, and smile because I know that not only am I leading what’s right at work, but I’m not wearing any panties because that’s what my Sir requires. Sir has a tiger by the tail, and He’s the only one to whom I will submit.

This makes so much sense… And admittedly is what lovely D has been saying all along! I guess I just needed to hear it from someone who knows 🙂

Thank you for such good advice!

Hey Subbug, I am working hard on the transition from being the boss to …Sub. Someone mentioned decompress on the way home ,if you can. I have put my favorite sexy music and meditation cd in my car. Cs

Cs – Sir and I are very aural, and I love hearing others’ suggestions. One of my favorites is Enigma’s MCMXC a.D. What do you enjoy?

Subbug- I hope the new job and maintaining your submissiveness at home is going well. 🙂

I work in a law office in an urban area and travel home every evening to the burbs…about an hour & 1/2 commute. I have learned to use that long commute to put myself in the right state of mind. Most times I use music and let my mind wonder (within reason) to fantasies or play time from the night before while I drive. Sometimes the music is sexy and sometimes relaxing (I have a play list on my iPod that Sir made for play/scenes that is a mix of some favorites). I did once try listening to audio erotica. That turned out to be a bad idea. I was really distracted and I was half tempted to call Sir & ask permission to “flick my bean” while driving 🙂 As for my work place role being the complete opposite of my role at home, I am slowly learning to let my submission empower me in a sense. I’m not sure if I’m wording this correctly, but basically during the day while some client is being a pain or I’m having to take the reigns on a case..I just have the back of mind the entire time the secret Sir and I share…that while I would never so much as concede an argument at work in a few short hours I will kneel naked before my Sir in complete submission. Sir giving tasks during the day also helps keep me in the right state of mind as well…like sending certain pictures. There are days when none of this seems to work entirely but we’re all a work in progress right? 🙂 Though when I get home and Sir grabs me by the back of the neck or comes up behind and pins my arms and bites my neck…I know I am home and I am his. Hope this helps a little

Thanks for this post P P. Yes, it helps me a lot. I am a newbie an CEO durning the day. So, I’m learning to transition back to a Sir after the office. This caused stress, fights…. Reverting to vanilla . I never wanted the corporate world ….just happened. I soo am feeding, nurturing our new dynamics. We are empty nesters … So we have really gotten to play, explore. I love that your Sir immediately pulls you in…..when you get home. ❤️Curvysub
