Honey Badger, I currently have four corsets. Three are regular steel bone type and the third is one I bought at a toy store. Couple of questions for you? Does your corset have laces? And how long is it? I longer corset, called a long line is not great for us shorter or more curvy subs. I would love to help if you want you can private message me or just reply here. Aithne

Ok, I wrote the bottom portion first and then reread your post. I’m now realizing that you were working with a lingerie “corset” (something plastic boned most likely). If the eyelets are going up your back and not in the front then you’re working with something that isn’t anything more than very pretty lingerie… 😉 That being the case, those things are made a dime a dozen and you’d have to be some “standard” size to actually fit one well. And it would give you no shape because the bones are plastic.

A corset from someplace like Orchard Corset (the retailer I suggest below) is going to be steel boned and they are actual corsets – but they come in black satin, red satin, leather, and other textiles, making them fantastic for use in the bedroom…. You can also order them with garter straps. 🙂

Would you mind clarifying for me if you’re only wanting lingerie or if you’re wanting info on a proper corset? My post below is my own experience:

Hi! I wear corsets and I love them! I’ve been reading about them for several years but only started wearing them about 5 months back(?) now. Belonging to a few corset Facebook groups I can tell you that Corset Story’s pricing looks good, but their corsets are not great, but I have no personal experience with them myself. Their reputation is quite bad amongst all of the corseters I know, and after having read so many complaints on The Tightlacing Society (an FB group for anyone interesting in corseting) I wouldn’t personally make a purchase from Corset Story. But I certainly recommend doing your own research on this. 🙂

I’ve purchased several through Orchard Corset and I can’t recommend them enough! The pricing is very fair for an OTR corset, and it’s a great way to get started. Also, it’s very easy to google a coupon code for them and get 15-20% off (pm me if you’re interested and I can give you the 20% code).

When it comes to corsets in the bedroom, not only will a proper corset be more attractive because of it’s ability to chance or enhance a figure, but the pressure on the abdomen is supposed to make orgasms just over the top. While I’ve had my corsets for some time Sir has not yet let me wear one during a scene so I also have no personal experience on that, yet! (though I am working my way to being able to earn a night in the corset) – online I know an absolute ton of women who swear by tight corsets while having sex. Once you are used to wearing a corset (and they are very comfortable if they fit right! I LOVE wearing them) then try it in the bedroom. I’d love to know if it works for you!

I agree with Collette, I much prefer my steel bones corsets over my lingerie type corsets. Three places that i Have found are Steelbones corsets, breathless corsets, and hips and curves. Hips and curves especially caters to more curvy people. I haven’t worn a corset overnight but have for most of a scene time. it was pretty awesome. But i love being restricted anyway.

Wow – thank you for all of the great advice! This is why I love LK’s site so much!

I am looking for something stronger than pretty lingerie. I like being restrained, and I think Sir would go over the top at laces up the back. Personally, I think He’d prefer an underbust corset, although I could see myself working up the confidence to wear an overbust one with a shirt out on a ‘vanilla’ night.

My worries are that I’m short (5’2″) with a typical petite waist (read that as about 8 inches from boobs to hips), and I’ve got curves. I’m concerned about steel boned corsets poking down onto my hips instead of fitting over them. Any advice on how to measure myself for a good corset?

The comments about orgasms in corsets are something I hadn’t even heard of… if I could camoflauge my post c-section, almost 50 tummy AND have a different orgasm experience – WOW! LOL

I wanted to share on this share Corsets….In Vegas LK took us to Lady C Leather …she is the BEST for EVERYTHING !!LOL But, they truly helped this short, Petite, curvey submissive on several STUNNING corsets .

I love my corsets! A great place to buy them is corsetstory.
They gave sales all the time! Most are expensive if you don’t get them on sale but they are steel bones corsets. I got 3 for $35.
