The Beginning of a New Day
When my husband told me he needed a change in life, he needed things he had lost touch with in himself, I agreed that I was desperate for change and finding my core again as well.
He asked for a simpler life first, one without clutter, one with more order and less commitment to things that just keep us busy without the reward of real happiness. So we discussed the structure I have always craved and the need for formality and routines in our lives and in our home.
To begin achieving the better life, there are some tasks I have to follow through on:
Declutter
Prioritize and toss things we keep just because we attach a memory to them, the things we actually stuff away because it’s not that we want them, we just can’t bring ourselves to throw them away
Organize- develop a better and lasting systemSo I have been going through boxes and bags we have stacked and readied for moving. He doesn’t want to cart all this stuff into a new home and get a wrong start. He checks in with me in the morning to get my daily agenda then checks back in to see how progress is going to help me stay on track not only with these tasks but with everything I do in a day.
Under his instruction, I have to get my health, diet and fitness back on track. That is a first step to really finding my core and grounding myself in a positive way.
Task 1 for spirit and body is meditation. I have to meditate and center.
Task 2 is to eat regular and more healthy meals again
Task 3 is to remember vitamins, supplements, water and other beneficial things
Task 4 is to exerciseWe are only beginning to discuss changes in rules or returning ones we let slide by. We are also beginning to discuss new approaches to intimacy, time spent together and experimenting more.
