Respectful Title
We do not use the title “Sir,” for various reasons. Most simply, it does not resonate for either of us. We have private names for one another that we do not share with anyone else. The closest title of respect I can think of (that we both use) is “My Love.” Again, this is more along the lines of how we refer to each other rather than a pronoun for use in public. This leaves me wondering what title to use to refer to him here. Any suggestions?

You could refer to him as “Love” or “My Love” if you want. I typically refer to my Sir as “Master” in person but less so online since it carries a different connotation in terms of BDSM. In public we have another name for each other (Liebchen). I mean, the title should mean something to you and him so you should go with what you would like best 🙂 I think referring to him as your “Love” is very respectful.

Thank you, LS. I was just thinking a word in a different language might work. I love the word “Liebchen.” It’s so sweet. “My Love” is one of my favorite things to say to him (and hear from him) … I’m really looking for something specific that I can call him that will convey the respect and dominance of his role without the cultural connotations and personal hang-ups I have about certain words. And, something to use to refer to him in writing.
I’m going to think about it for a while.

I call him Husband, and he calls me Little One – unless I’m in trouble, then it’s “Wife….”! At home though, since we have our kidlet, we mostly call each other Daddy and Mommy, such is life with little ones! We chose “Husband” and “Little One” because it works in all settings for us – in the bedroom, around the house, and in public.
