• Pampering the Sub…natural sugar scrub

LK asked me to post this a few weeks ago. I didn’t find a match topic, so here goes. I think prepping for Sir is always important. One thing I very much like to do (and he appreciates) is doing a sugar scrub before a scene, or before I know we will be having playtime. Or heck, if I just want to feel nice. You can find many recipes online, but I like to mix 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and several drops of one of my favorite essential oils together. Yup. That simple. I use organic oil and sugar, and therapy grade essential oils. This is going on your skin. It’s really inexpensive, especially when you compare to buying a commercial or boutique scrub!

A few notes: My favorite oils for this ate peppermint, lavendar, sweet orange, vanilla. Sir loves the peppermint best, and it really is energizing.

    Best use is fresh.

When you first start, go easy on the essential oils. You can add more drops as ypu learn what feel and smwlls nicest to you and Sir. The oils can be very strong. They MUST be used with a “carrier” oil. I like coconut because it’s easy, cheap, and has a pleasant texture. Sweet almond oil is another favorite. I don’t use coconut oil on my face, instead substituting the more expendive, and gentler, sweet almond there. I have a friend who swears by olive oil (body only)

It’s easy to use. Hop into shower…dget wet. Step out of the water flow and use the scrub by rubbing it in all over! Be very cautious with feet..this is oil, please don’t slip and fall! Pay close attention to elbows, knees, and rough patches. Rinse. Pat dry. You will not need lotions, and your skin will feel amazingly soft.
