AHHH EMPTY NESTERS ……The joys of being Free, served your time, raised your kids, worked your butts off . Time to sit back with the Sand in your toes …. NOT so fast …..
Sir Tex and I have been empty nesters for years. Raised 2 good children , but Every Family has drama ! Your kids get broke come home , you try to help, loss job , divorce……LIST goes on . HOLDING on to your D/s is HARD ! Tex and I are walking the walk…so , I hope you will share some thoughts, tips.
Here are some of mine :
If you can sleep at night, they are over 30 we have DONE our JOB !
MONEY …its Yours you earned YOU choice how to spend it …DONT WASTE your time helping a child who is NOT helping themselves. DOIT put yourself in Finical harms way ..who will bail you out ?
Its there LIFE they chose it …Let them LIVE IT Its OK ..if you don’t like it or agree with it !!… don’t be to quick to FIX everything ! LET them FALL !
Addiction are a NIGHTMARE …you cant FIX someone else ..You can ONLY fix yourself
Everyone doesn’t want to be SAVED
Saying NO ; DONT be afraid they will still ALWAYS come to Mom & Dad in the end !
If your helping Set a time line Mean it KEEP IT !
Daughters and Mothers will battle , butt heads to the end …I will be writing more on this soon ….But…step back look at your daughter , her home..she is MORE like YOU than you BELIEVE ..that the PROBLEM LOL

What? Empty nesters aren’t all on permanent vacation? Don’t burst my bubble, I’m 3.5 years out! 🙂
For sure though, one of my big goals right now with both kids is to help them step into their adult lives as confident and independent young adults. That will be harder with one than with the other, but it can be done.
