“I have always had you at the center of my heart. I desperately need you to be the master of our house.” “I have always been the master of our house.” “Will you accept me as the keeper of your home then and give the direction for more structure, more formality in our roles and routines? Can you accept my yielding and can we work on what that means for us?” “Yes” A beautiful spring day and a Sunday drive opened to deep conversation that pieced together the short conversations we have had about change for our lives. Now we go from there and recapture the things we feel we have lost and work on adding to our life plan and structure.

    Thank you, Beth.

We have had a long journey so far and we hope this acknowledgment and whatever changes we make become the lasting joy we hope for.
