• Keeping Things Going

Did anyone ever have one of those weeks where things just fall off the rails?

We were feeling that everything was going fine until last week. March and April are usually hectic and crazy months because of Sir’s work and my work. I have extra duties in the spring and summer which amount to a second job.Last week, however, there was the addition of two speaking engagements, our son’s activities with the school play, and having to take our RV in for it’s annual inspection.

Well, I lost my way. I fell back into old habits. I didn’t take enough time to make sure my Sir was taken care of the way he should be and I completely lacked protocols. Let’s just say, I am currently banned for a week from something that I like to have. 🙁 By sinking back into old habits (before our contract and commitment), it caused my Sir to also fall into some former habits and he began to have doubts.

We have worked very hard over the last couple of days to get back on track. I feel so long as I keep with my tasks and do what it expected, we will eventually be back to where we were.

What have others done? When have you had the most issues and what did you do to get back to normal?

My Sir and I have on-and-off times. When life gets crazy, and for me with my job it is usually in the Spring, we tend to fall away and go back to old habits. I can totally relate to your post. We set up an e-mail for me that is only used for this purpose. He will write to me at work, giving me direction as to what to buy or how to prepare myself for the evening. This gets both of our minds redirected and helps us to think about each other during the day. I would love to hear how other people address this problem.
