Riding crop
After our chat tonight me and Mr. K (formally known as Daddy) went shopping. He wanted something new for punishment spankings. I picked out the riding crop. I like when he uses the belt on me and I think he started to notice so I picked that. I thought I was going to like it but..boy was I wrong. He tried it out on me. Just one time to see how I reacted. He didn’t spank me very hard but man..it stung! So..there’s that. I will definitely be writing on this post after a punishment spanking to fill you in on how it went. I’m intrigued to see how it will go.

It’s been discussed that a riding crop will be purchased soon. Not going to lie, a little fearful as I don’t know what to expect yet.

Can anyone give me suggestions on the best type of riding crop? There seem to be many options, sizes and such.

Because I am an equestrian I can attest to the fact that there are a ton of different types of “riding crops” or a term my trainer likes to use (and makes me laugh every time) “beating device”. A true “crop” or “bat” is short, aprox. 15 inches with a varying size and shape of leather tag on the end. I have most recently taken one out of our barn that my daughter outgrew-hopefully she’ll never miss it or find it in our bedroom and wonder why! It is sparkly pink with a star shape on the business end. I can’t wait to encorporate it into our scenes. Most you find are black unless you go to a tack store. They will run anywhere from $15-50 in a tack store. Another type of whip or crop, is the Dressage whip. These are longer and thinnner, typically a nylon or cotton fiber woven over a cane of some sort. The most common and less expensive ($20-30) will have a fiberglass center. The more expensive ones will have birch or some other type of wood cane in the center, these will cost anywhere from $50 to $100. The feel and balance of the dressage whips in a hand will differ, so it is best for your Sir to try them and see what feels best in his hand. The business end of the Dressage whip will have a “tail” on it. This too can be made of different material and is different lengths. This is what causes the sting. The longer the overall whip the more severe the result. If you choose one of these, please be careful! Wielded inappropriately, these type whips can be very nasty and can break the skin easily. Please make sure your Sir knows how to use them before attempting the use of them on you!

RIDING CROPS CAN BE PLEASURABLE OR PAINFUL DEPENDING ON THE USE.WE HAVE A DOUBLE SIDED RIDING CROP ON ONE SIDE IT IS SMOOTH LEATHER STINGY BUT PLEASURABLE ON THE OTHER SIDE IT HAS METAL STUDS THOSE HURT LIKE HECK LOL. I ENJOY IT WHEN MASTER OR MISTRESS USES THE RIDING CROP ON THE SMOOTH SIDE DURING PLAY BUT TRUST ME WHEN I AM BEING PUNISHED WITH THE STUDDED SIDE I DO NOT ENJOY IT
I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DECIDE WHET YOU WANT IT FOR BEFORE GETTING YOUR OWN. sorry about the caps my caps button got stuck -
I love our crop. Sir only uses it during play/scene though…not for punishment. Sir actually purchased it from a local animal store that sells equestrian merchandise. The bat is rather long (around 25 inches I think), so if he is not careful, it can really bite. The leather is fairly soft (but not too soft) and of better quality than we have found in the “novelty” stores. It was pretty inexpensive.
