Formal Training Completed!
Greetings, All,
After one month of formal training, I graduated!… into everyday training…. I will talk about my formal training in one minute, but first I want to express what I have learned since completing my formal training period. I have learned that everyday is “training” for me still. I am still learning to check my attitude and remember to put my Sir first. I am learning to increase my communication skills on all fronts. I am learning that I will constantly be learning and training, even if we are not in a “formal” training period which I feel good about because I strive to be a better sub and wife for my husDom. He deserves the best and I deserve to be the best I can be. So, even though I have graduated to my permanent collar, I will always be training and learning. So, my training was one month long. My Sir broke it up into three phases. The first phase, I had off from work so I was able to really focus. I asked for every thing – to use the bathroom, if and what to eat, where I could go, what task to do next, what drink to bring him, ect. This time lasted about a week and a half and it allowed me to change my focus from thinking of me and my needs to focusing on my Sir and his needs.
The second phase I had a little more freedom in that I learned what my Sir wanted. I didn’t need to ask for the bathroom because I knew he wanted me to be comfortable and not make a mess, for example. We would make a list of tasks in the morning for the day and I didn’t need to check in for each task. I learned to anticipate my Sir’s needs rather than ask for everything.
The final phase, we actually took a trip to Europe and it was a tough learning experience for both of us. I have more traveling experience than my Sir and he had asked me to help direct us early in the vacation; however, I didn’t realize that he was developing his skills as we went and I started to have a hard time following him. We had a lecture moment in Paris about how I needed to remember to follow his lead and I shared I was still under the impression he wanted my help, when he didn’t. So it was a good lesson in communication for both of us and it allowed me to reset and really put my mindset back. The rest of the vacation I was able to relax and follow Him and it was wonderful. Our last day, my Sir presented me with my permanent collar and it is a beauty! It is purple suede with two rings on either side of a tag that says “Sir’s”. I was really proud of our growth together and for myself. I feel like I have been able to let go of a lot of small stressors that build up and really stress me out because of our move into a D/s relationship. I really appreciate my Sir for taking on the small stuff so I don’t have too. I am really excited to see where we go in the future! Hopefully, my experience is helpful for others as others experiences have been helpful to me!
