I started out young and in love in high school. A girl with a wonderful boyfriend. Crazy fun. So much love to give one another. Full of hope for our future.

We marry, husband and wife. He puts me on a pedestal up so very high. I couldn’t see the ground.
Everything anew. Cherishing every growing moment. He is mine and I am his.

Life goes by and children come into our lives.. They become our lives. We become Mommy and Daddy.
Work hard and long you will be rewarded.

We watch our children grow. We strive for the perfect family unit, the dream home, our societal perfection of what we think people deem respectable and acceptable. We loose ourselves…. Become mechanical….. Suffocate in our best intentions.

Until one day a light so bright shines onto your face and awakens your heart. You find yourself again in someone else words. It’s a magical thing. You ask for what your heart tells you to be true. He accepts and he looks at you through new eyes, focusing on you and him once again.

Many years have past. You ask each other, why? Why didn’t we do this years ago? We do regret… The knowledge and trust has been built. Our families are to a good place and your dreams are moving onto a different place.

The time is now… Lets not waste another minute. It’s never too late to live happily ever after.
